Max Beeken joined WRLT as Conservation Director in the summer of 2018. A native Oregonian and marine biologist, Max is no stranger to Port Orford and the unique coastal environment of southern Oregon. He has a strong record of promoting and protecting intact habitat that promotes ecosystem health and diversity of species, including threatened coho salmon and marbled murrelets. With a degree in Marine Biology, Max has worked both on the ocean as an fisheries biologist and on land as a forester and performing field work for research and restoration projects. “I am excited to join the staff of Wild Rivers Land Trust and continue my conservation work on the south coast", states Max.
