Kammie Bunes /Conservation Committee

Daughter of Minnesota natives, Kammie grew up El Granada, across from Pillar Point Harbor, at that time a fishing and farming community on the central California Coast. As an interpretive ranger for Redwood National Park she immediately felt at home in the Pacific Northwest. Twenty years of service as a land manager and grants administrator with Washington State prepared her for a position in acquisition and property management with Oregon State Parks. She recently left State Parks in order to move to Bandon. Her heart has been in the Klamath to Coos Bay to Cascades region for decades and she is delighted at the opportunity to work toward conservation of natural and working lands on the south coast.  Kammie earned a B.A. in Environmental Studies from The Evergreen State College in Olympia. Favorite activities include gardening, crafts, day hikes and fishing with her husband Greg.
