Jan Hodder - President (Conservation & Fundraising Committees)

Jan Hodder is a faculty member at the University of Oregon’s Institute of Marine Biology. She studies the natural history of marine vertebrates and teaches courses in marine birds and mammals and marine environmental issues. She has been involved with natural resource protection issues for most of her career. She was instrumental in conducting surveys which led to the designation of marine reserve on the Dorset, England coast and has supported several land trust and conservation groups. She has lived in the fishing village of Charleston for almost 40 years and enjoys hiking, camping, exploring natural areas and gardening.
